Christmas 2009

This is our fake little tree here in the apartment in Oregon city, not bad it does give us the feeling of Christmas, the presents are all for Marji!!

Visits with Mom, Dad and Marji

Marji came up to see us and do a little Christmas shopping, mom and dad just happened to be going to a Costco near us so we met up with them. After shopping and a nice lunch we decided to document the "moment". I am so grateful to still have my parents here and I am able to visit with them frequently.

The Princess and the Frog

We took Marley to see the new Disney movie, with her doll in hand and donning the dress that Aunt Danielle made for her off we went. It was a fun movie and Marley looked adorable, she did get a little sleepy and missed the end but will remember the day as a special one!

For Thanksgiving this year Misty and her family hosted in Sutherlin at their house.....
We had a total of 23 people for dinner!! Wonderful food and fun were had by all. My parents came down and so we had 4 generations there, sadly no 4 generation picture. We did have our dinner on Friday because of work schedules and travel time but on Sat Mandy hosted a brunch at her house with wonderful food and good times.

The septic at Misty's was having problems but with a lot of digging and "dumping" Reuel and Lonnie got it fixed before we had to leave on Sunday. Danielle, her husband Michael and girls Myla and Payton got to visit with all their cousins, all 7 of our grandchildren were together, we did get pictures of that!
dad said his head was cold so he just place a napkin on it to keep the fan from blowing on it, that's my dad for ya'!
I caught mom just after she had said something but she is a beautiful woman still at 83!

This is my mom Marjie's 83 birthday
isn't she just so adorable!!

Marleys Birthday

Although I was not there for Marley's birthday,

Misty sent me pics.

What a fun!

Our little Marley is 4!

Poppa has no Hair!

Payton and Myla were quite concerned that Poppa has no hair on the top of his head, they really
had to check it out!!

Family

Asa and his girlfriend Summer, they are a happy couple.

Little Hendrix and momma Misty

This is a day when we all hung around outside roasting marshmallows over Poppas dutch oven coals and listened to a little music, from Misty's car but hey that is how we roll. Enjoy Marleys version of the Stankey Leg dance!!
Marji had a game in Longview tonight, happens to be minutes from where my mom and dad live, Reuel and drove the hour to LV, picked dad up and watched her play, it was fun and she is adorable. Thanks to my dad for going! ( doesn't he look great for almost 83)

Maddox's Dance

I Found this video of Maddox dancing at Lonnies' football game, it is so cute I want to share, I think the licorice adds a nice touch!

Josie at the spray park, she loved running to all the buckets and letting them dump on her!!

Took Jonah to the spray park, he had a blast, he always seem to find a friend. He loves the water and is a really good swimmer. Every town needs a spray park!!

The Fair

Huey Lewis was awesome, the sound of live music just makes a person feel so alive, especially when it is music from ones youth!!

Jonah had a great time on the scrambler and I was just glad that the seat stayed on the arm!!

Asa and his street bike

In case we did not have rnough to worry about with Asa and his dirt bike, four wheeler and his dads 3 wheeler, Asa traded his 4 runner for this bike! I just hope he always wears his helmet.

Family Fun

Water Basketball
I do realize that a blog is about both pictures and words, so I guess I should expound on some of these pic. We went to the Tri-Cities to visit with Reue'ls sister who was visiting from Georgia, we were able to also visit with Reuel's brother Ron and his nephew Steven and his wife Meredith, what a great couple.
The first night we were there we were invited to Ron and Karens where they hosted a BBQ and swim night, what fun. Thanks Guys!
The second night we were there we went to Vicki and Jeffs where Jeff BBQ'd some pork steaks that just melted in your mouth and some amazing onion rings made from fresh onions right out of their garden, mmmmmm.
As you can see Reuel and Ron had some serious bball competition in the pool, such fun!

Mom's Family Reunion
We then traveled on to Walla Walla for my moms family reunion, she has 9 siblings the oldest at 87 and the youngest at 67, we visited and ate and honored our vets, we swam and ate and had a parade. I am truly grateful for the Aunts and Uncles that I have had in my lifetime and that we keep in touch every year, so many years of life and wisdom!
