I have decided to use this blog to share the stories of a CookieMa aka Grandma. I am CookieMa to 8 amazing and wonderfully different grandchildren, aka Grandies...these are the times of our lives!
Christmas 2009
This is our fake little tree here in the apartment in Oregon city, not bad it does give us the feeling of Christmas, the presents are all for Marji!!
Visits with Mom, Dad and Marji
Marji came up to see us and do a little Christmas shopping, mom and dad just happened to be going to a Costco near us so we met up with them. After shopping and a nice lunch we decided to document the "moment". I am so grateful to still have my parents here and I am able to visit with them frequently.
The Princess and the Frog
For Thanksgiving this year Misty and her family hosted in Sutherlin at their house.....
We had a total of 23 people for dinner!! Wonderful food and fun were had by all. My parents came down and so we had 4 generations there, sadly no 4 generation picture. We did have our dinner on Friday because of work schedules and travel time but on Sat Mandy hosted a brunch at her house with wonderful food and good times.
The septic at Misty's was having problems but with a lot of digging and "dumping" Reuel and Lonnie got it fixed before we had to leave on Sunday. Danielle, her husband Michael and girls Myla and Payton got to visit with all their cousins, all 7 of our grandchildren were together, we did get pictures of that!
Marleys Birthday
Poppa has no Hair!
Payton and Myla were quite concerned that Poppa has no hair on the top of his head, they really
had to check it out!!
Maddox's Dance
I Found this video of Maddox dancing at Lonnies' football game, it is so cute I want to share, I think the licorice adds a nice touch!

I do realize that a blog is about both pictures and words, so I guess I should expound on some of these pic. We went to the Tri-Cities to visit with Reue'ls sister who was visiting from Georgia, we were able to also visit with Reuel's brother Ron and his nephew Steven and his wife Meredith, what a great couple.
The first night we were there we were invited to Ron and Karens where they hosted a BBQ and swim night, what fun. Thanks Guys!
The second night we were there we went to Vicki and Jeffs where Jeff BBQ'd some pork steaks that just melted in your mouth and some amazing onion rings made from fresh onions right out of their garden, mmmmmm.
As you can see Reuel and Ron had some serious bball competition in the pool, such fun!

Mom's Family Reunion
We then traveled on to Walla Walla for my moms family reunion, she has 9 siblings the oldest at 87 and the youngest at 67, we visited and ate and honored our vets, we swam and ate and had a parade. I am truly grateful for the Aunts and Uncles that I have had in my lifetime and that we keep in touch every year, so many years of life and wisdom!
